Aluminum, magnesium, copper, plastic, glass, printed circuit boards, as well as a battery (lithium-ion). Behind the small weight also lurk gold, silver, rare earth metals literally have value in it.

Never in the household trash! A laptop is e-waste, to be collected separately. Drop-off: Collection points/waste yards belonging to MOHU, as well as large department stores (e.g. MediaMarkt/Euronics) take over e-waste. A trader can refuse the asset in a dangerous condition in a justified case, but basically there is a take-back.
