Miből készül?

Most often they consist of a mixed material: plastic (e.g. polypropylene, PET) + a thin layer of aluminum (metal foamed foil). This ensures the closure of light, air and moisture, but their separation is difficult even in industrial conditions, it is practically impossible.

It must be disposed of in the municipal waste. It is not suitable for selective collection, as it is not a separable combination of substances. Yellow should not be thrown into the trash, even if it is clean!

Miért problémás?

These packages are not recyclable, yet they produce an astonishing amount. They are lightweight, but long-lived, decompose into microplastics when in nature, and can also enter the body of animals.

  • Make homemade snacks at home (e.g. popcorn, roasted chickpeas
  • Avoid prepackaged snacks
  • Fill yourself portions in a refillable box from a large pack

  • Quantitative snacks (e.g. seeds, dry goods, reform shops)

  • Seed mix stored in a linen snack bag
