Newsprint: from paper or recycled paper, low-grade cellulose. Advertising paper: often glossy, colored, richly printed paper with ink, sometimes almost plastic-like.

Dry, clean newsprint can go to the paper selective bin with a blue lid. An advertising newspaper can also go if there is no foil or plastic cover on it. Specimens wrapped in plastic film or glued, here the plastic must be thrown separately (in a yellow bin or mixed). Soaked, greasy or soiled paper, unfortunately this is municipal waste.

Miért problémás?

Unnecessarily a lot is generated from it, especially from unsolicited advertising material. Colorful, glossy surfaces are often difficult to recycle and cannot be composted. Distribution, printing and transportation are energy wasters and polluters. Many advertising newspapers are never read, only automatically sent to the trash.
